🟨Topic:【Joint Practice of the Ten Meritorious Deeds - 2】

🟦🌟🟦🌟🟦🌟🟦🌟🟦🌟🌐🌟🟦🌟🟦🌟🟦🌟🟦🌟🟦🌟🟦🌟🌐🌟🟦🌟

🌿 「Bhante Fa Yuan」 first led all present in paying homage to the Buddha and making offerings before the Buddha, followed by taking the Three Refuges and Five Precepts. After a session of loving-kindness meditation, the audience listened to his Dharma talk on the theme: 「End-of-Life Care」.

🪷 Buddhists should understand that death is not something to be feared. Only by truly understanding death can we better cherish life and live with greater meaning.

🌿 While we are still young and in good health, we should actively do good deeds, cultivate virtue, and accumulate wholesome resources.

🪷 Our actions (karma) determine our rebirth. When karmic forces arise, everything else in the world becomes unreliable (we cannot depend on them).

🌿 The manifestation of karmic retribution can be classified into four types:

1. Heavy Karma: Strongly decisive; directly determines whether one is reborn into a wholesome or unwholesome realm.

2. Near-Death Karma: Has a significant impact at the final moment of life.

3. Habitual Karma: Arises naturally based on one’s habits in daily life.

4. Stored Karma: Past karma that exerts influence on rebirth.

🪷 Providing peace, care, and mindfulness to the dying is extremely important, as it helps them face death peacefully and attain a good passing.

🌿 Diligent practice during life is essential, including bowing to the Buddha, upholding precepts, meditation, making vows, and dedicating merits. These practices help us maintain mindfulness and clarity at crucial moments, leading us toward liberation.
