🌸 盂兰盆节，是汉语系佛教地区根据《佛说盂兰盆经》而举行的一种超度历代祖先的佛事。

🌸 佛欢喜日，又叫僧自恣日。佛教僧众修行，在每年的初夏之际举行结夏安居，出家人集结在一起修行的制度。结夏安居（巴利语：vassa，梵语：varṣa），佛教术语，意思是年，或雨季。也称为雨安居、夏安居、坐夏、坐夏安居、安居，指的是在农历4月15日至7月15日的三个月期间，在这期间僧众不允许随意外出。

🌸 “盂兰盆会”是佛教岁节仪规中重要的仪式，于每年七月十五举行。主旨是拜祭先祖，超度亡灵，送走灾祸疾病，祈求吉祥平安。“以此修行众善根，报答父母幼劳德。存者福乐寿无穷，亡者离苦生安养。四恩三有诸合识，三途八难苦众生。俱蒙悔过洗瑕疵，尽出轮回生净土。”

🌸 "Buddha's Rejoicing Day happens to be the Chinese traditional Mid-Yuan Festival, which is also called "Hungry Ghost Festival" in Buddhism.

🌸 The Hungry Ghost Festival is a Buddhist event held in the Chinese-speaking Buddhist region based on the "Buddha Said the Ullambana Sutra" to save and releasing suffering of the ancestors of all generations.

🌸 Buddha's Rejoicing Day, also known as Sangha's Self-restraint Day.  For Buddhist monks to practice, they hold a summer retreat at the beginning of the summer of every year, and the monks get together to practice. Vassa (in pali) or Varsa (in Sanskrit), the Buddhist term meaning year, or rainy season. It refers to the three-month period from 15 April to 15 July in the lunar calendar, during which monks are not allowed to leave at will.

🌸 "Hungry Ghost Festival" is an important ceremony in the Buddhist New Year rituals, which takes place on July 15 every year.  The main purpose is to worship ancestors, save and releasing suffering of the dead, send away disasters and diseases, and pray for good luck and peace.   In this way, we nurture the roots of the goodness and repay the gratitude of parents and children. The survivors have endless happiness and longevity, and the deceased are free from suffering and live in peace. All repent and purify their wrongdoings, liberated from reincarnation and reborn in the pure land
